Doom Flower is the musical project of Chicago-based singer and multi-instrumentalist Jess Price and features members Matt Lemke (Wedding Dress), Pete Croke (Brokeback, Exit Verse), and Areif Sless-Kitain (Brokeback, Regulator Watts, The Eternals).
Price’s moody, evocative, and emotionally piercing vocals unfurl oblique lyrics while her guitar interlocks with the band to blend atmospheric and minimalist guitars reminiscent of Opal, Cat Power, and Mazzy Star and occasional trip-hop-influenced beats similar to Portishead.
Leor Galil from the Chicago Reader described Doom Flower as “…exuding a sleepy optimism” with a “futuristic lounge mystique”.
Doom Flower released a self-titled 3-song digital EP in 2019, a self-titled full length album in 2021, ‘Limestone Ritual’ in 2023, and a collection of live recordings from 2023 in Spring of 2024.
We’re excited to be working with Doom Flower and we’ll be working to bring their recordings to all the major streaming platforms soon. In addition, the band is working on a new record for 2027.
