Chicago's Bursting features members of Thou, Yautja, Coliseum, Stress Positions, and As Hell, but their sound pivots from the metal/hardcore/punk roots of those bands to deliver melodic, angular, late-90s style post-hardcore, in the vein of Drive Like Jehu, Jawbox, Shiner, Hot Snakes, and Pinback.
Having toured the Midwest/Southern regions of the US in support of their debut self-titled LP (on No Sabes Records), Bursting is gearing up for an East Coast/Canadian tour this summer as they work on a follow-up LP to be released on Solid Brass Records in early 2027.
While we all patiently wait Solid Brass has partnered with their original label, No Sabes, for a limited edition 2nd pressing of their debut self-titled record on brass colored vinyl.
